How To Delete Languages On Duolingo

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Duolingo does not provide a feature to delete languages directly from the user interface. However, you can remove a language course from your Duolingo profile by following these steps:

  1. Log In:
    • Log in to your Duolingo account.
  2. Go to Settings:
    • Navigate to the settings menu. This is typically represented by a gear icon or your profile picture in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Learning Language:
    • Look for an option related to “Learning Language” or “Course.”
  4. Manage Courses:
    • Find a section or option that allows you to manage or add courses.
  5. Remove Language:
    • Within the course management section, you should see a list of languages you are learning. Find the language you want to remove and look for an option to remove or reset progress for that language.
  6. Confirm:

Please note that the user interface and features of Duolingo may change over time, so the steps might be subject to updates. If you can’t find the option to remove a language, check Duolingo’s official help documentation or contact their support for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Remember that removing a language will reset your progress in that language course, and you can re-add it later if you decide to resume learning.
