How To Delete Netflix History
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Netflix doesn’t provide a direct option for users to delete their viewing history entirely. However, you can remove specific titles from your viewing activity. Here’s how you can do it:
- Access Your Account:
- Open a web browser and go to the Netflix website (www.netflix.com).
- Log in to your Netflix account.
- Go to Account Settings:
- Once logged in, hover over your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Netflix homepage.
- From the dropdown menu, select “Account.”
- Viewing Activity:
- In the Account Settings, look for the section called “My Profile” and find the “Viewing activity” link. Click on it.
- See Recently Watched:
- You will see a list of all the titles you’ve recently watched on Netflix.
- Remove Titles:
- To remove a specific title from your history, click the “X” next to it.
- Confirm Removal:
- Netflix will ask you to confirm that you want to remove the title. Confirm by clicking “Remove Series” or “Remove Movie.”
- Repeat as Needed:
- Repeat the process for each title you want to remove from your viewing history.
It’s important to note that the changes may take some time to reflect across all devices, and Netflix may still use your viewing history for recommendations.
